Another non-SLS shampoo I love

As most of you will know, in August 2015 I decided to go Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) free. SLS is a known skin irritant which is in most shampoos and cleansers as a foaming agent.

I have previously wrote about other non SLS shampoos I have used and if you want to read my thoughts on them, have a look herehere and here

When shopping in The BodyShop recently, I noticed they sell a range of non-SLS shampoos and conditioners and I decided to give one of them a go. I picked up the Rainforest Shine shampoo for normal to dry hair.

The shampoo contains no silicones, no sulphates, no colourants and no parabens and claims to leave hair healthy-looking with incredible shine.

The claims are correct as it has in fact left my dry and damaged hair looking ever so healthy and shiny and with a lovely smell to it. It does not irritate my scalp at all like most shampoos do which is great as I have spent way too many years with a stupidly itchy scalp from shampoos containing SLS.

For how cheap this is, I would definitely recommend it. I will have to try their conditioners out next to see whether they are as good.

You can buy it here for only £5.00 for 250ml or £2.00 for 60ml.

Has anyone ever tried this before? Do you use non-SLS shampoos? If yes, do you have any recommendations for me to try?

Love Lauren
xoxo

  6. I've been going SLS free for years now and wouldn't look back! My hairs changed dramatically since I decided to invest in my hair more and buy natural products or products without harsh chemicals <3 I love TBH range but haven't tried this yet and most definitely should! xx

  20. To be honest, if I wash my hair, and there is no foam, I feel like my hair is not clean :D I know it's stupid, but that's the sole reason why I haven't tried an SLS-free shampoo so far... x
